[ after school, it hadn't been that hard to leave the country. he was a legal adult, after all, and einsturzen's education wasn't all for nothing. speaking different languages is helpful when you're on the move. eventually, heine had found that being able to handle a gun is useful on a whole other level.

he's back on a visit from the darker sides of europe, somewhat more scarred, a little harder around the edges. but the red string that had showed up when he came of age was pulling, more tightly and more insistently than before. heine had been able to ignore it for years (longer than most), but when it was more of a distraction than he could afford, he'd gone to follow it...

...all the way back to his hometown. expecting the string to lead him away, and just inside the borders, he hasn't told anyone he's back, but he's not exactly hiding, either. ]

[A tiny, tiny part of Nill winces on the inside. Heine, those pants look like they cost more than her entire wardrobe. But she follows him regardless. The blonde grabs the remote and settles gently on the couch, waiting dutifully for him to join her even as she answers with another shrug.]

[ sorry, Nill. Heine doesn't even buy his own suits. that is how socially maladjusted he is. ]

You can just flip through and pick something, then.

[ he sits down next to her, smoothing down his jacket instinctively but letting the tie crumple under it. he's close enough that their knees could touch, but he leaves the space there, anyway, in some leftover vestige of uncertainty. ]

[Heine, you and Nill need to have a talk.

While she takes notice of their proximity, she's already starting to flip through channels, waiting for him to show interest in anything. Almost idly, she lets her knee knock into his, body leaning towards him just so, almost as if she was hoping he'd notice.]

[ clothes are hard, ok.

he doesn't pay much attention to the channels, having spent most of his time in Europe either too busy or too apathetic to follow any TV shows. explosions always catch his eye, though, and once she gets to a rerun of mythbusters, he starts paying a little attention.

the contact isn't too sudden. he still stiffens a little, but after a moment, he relaxes again, this time towards her. he doesn't say anything, but it's a comfortable silence. ]

[Heine you are a grown man.

She's paying enough attention to see that he's interested in Mythbusters, and automatically stops on the channel. She likes it well enough, and it's something that can be funny. She doesn't want to stop smiling right now. Nill doesn't lean towards him any more, deciding to give him time to move on his own, but settles in with the mutual quiet between them.]
