i'm always right but what's your perception?

[ detention in the bio classroom isn't as bad as it could be. at least there's stuff to look at. heine's gaze trails over the dusty blackboard, the sun coming in through the window, and the old raccoon specimen in a glass case on a high shelf. the sun isn't actually that appealing; he burns too easy to enjoy it.

so: staying inside and cleaning the classroom as punishment is an all right option, all things considered. heine picks up a rag with two fingers from the countertop to hold it under the tap, ready to get started and do a just-barely adequate job so that the teacher won't get on his ass.

there's supposed to be someone else coming in. he glances toward the doorway, checking to see if they've arrived yet. if they're unwelcome company, he can either intimidate them into cleaning by themselves or, worst case scenario, kick them out and just do it alone. ]

[Way too young. Young enough that he looks up from his phone with indignation at the insult.]

What's wrong with my phone?! I'd like to see yours!

It's like a brick.

[ ha-ha. heine doesn't take out his own phone, just raises an eyebrow so pale that it's almost invisible against his ever-paler skin. ]

Last chance to do your share.

Like I'm doing anything now! Have fun cleaning by yourself, stupid.

[He's just going to play on his phone which TOTALLY ISN'T A BRICK, thank you.]

[ dude, it's totally a brick. and a soon-to-be nonfunctioning one, at that, because heine has lost patience. he tips about half of the bucket of cold tap water over the other student's head and shoulders.

(CLEAN UP, CLEAN UP, EVERYBODY DO YOUR SHARE) ]

[Killua lets out a sharp, high-pitched yelp when cold water splashes over him. He practically jumps out of his seat the moment it does, and looks very much like an angry, wet kitten as a result.]

Wh-what was that for?! [He looks about ready to pounce on the guy.]

[ still holding the bucket. ]

If you don't start helping out now, I'm gonna dump the rest of this on you.

[ which... wasn't an explanation at all? ]

You do that, and you're asking for a black eye!

[Killua shakes his hair out, but now it's just falling around his face like one big, fluffy white wet mop.]

Uh-huh. [ unconvinced, heine sloshes the water around in the bucket menacingly. ] Then we'll both get another detention, and we'll be back at square one.

[Killua matches that threat with an ominous smile of his own.]

That's fine by me. [Come at me, bro.]

[ heine sighs, more frustrated than actually threatened, and just tosses some more water at killua—less than before, actually, but still enough to splash him. ]

Hey! [Killua stuffs his phone in his pocket and fluffs up like an angry kitten.]

Okay, that's it. You wanna fight, let's fight!

[ wow, that's almost cute. except heine doesn't think anything is cute.

he has a lot of height, reach, and body weight on killua, but he doesn't let it keep him from taking it seriously. his first move is to swing the bucket at his head, hard and fast enough to break his nose if it connects. ]

[Killua ducks reflexively, the bucket flying past the top of his head. While he's down there, roughly eye-level with Heine's gut, he pulls back a fist and throws it at him.]

[ the contents of the bucket splash out, but heine doesn't let go of it, even as he steps back quickly to avoid being nailed in the stomach.

he brings the bucket back down from the top, lunging forward at the same time to back killua against the desk. ]

[Thunk. A metallic sound echoes through the room as the bucket hits Killua right in the noggin. That combined with Heine's dodge throws him completely off balance and he ends, rather gracelessly, falling face-first onto the floor.]

[ heine assumes he didn't hit him too hard, and that the kid can handle it. he was talking tough, after all; heine grabs him by the back of the shirt and hauls him to his feet, only to toss him over the desk again.

he dumps the rest of the water over killua's head. ]

So. [ shaking him by the shirt. ] You wanna keep trying?

[Killua sputters and coughs, water getting into his nose and lungs. It takes a second for him to regain his composure, throat and voice hoarse from the assault.]

L--lucky shot! [He shoves Heine's hands off of him, stumbling back and away from the desk.]

[ lucky shot, huh. heine backs up a step, bucket jangling in his hand. he decides not to whack the kid over the head with it again; he doesn't want to actually give him a concussion. he drops it to the ground and grabs killua by the front of his shirt.

he hauls hard, lifting him off the ground, and shoves him up against a lab bench. ] Cut it out already, someone's gonna hear you squawking.

[Killua's feet leave the ground and a surge of panic runs through him--being shoved into the lab bench is almost a relief, except he still can't touch the ground.]

Look who's talking! [He may be out matched, but he still had some fight in him. Killua lashes out, kneeing Heine in the gut to try and open him up for escape.]

[ fucking ow. heine grunts in pain, grip loosening on killua's shirt, though he doesn't let go completely. ]

[With that loosened grip, Killua pulls himself free and makes a run for the door. Screw this, he's getting out of here!]

[ NO WAY JOSE, KIDDO, heine needs help cleaning this classroom!! he lunges after killua and manages to snag the back of his shirt, yanking him back and throwing him over the lab bench again. he twists killua's arm behind his back and pins him down. ]

Listen. [ said in almost a growl; heine doesn't have a reputation because he backs down in a fight. ] Wash the fucking board and make yourself useful.

Ah! [There he go.]

Ow, ow, owww! [Killua squirms briefly, but then thinks better of it because it's only making this hurt worse.] Okay, okay! Just let go!

[ heine rammsteiner: Passionate About Cleaning (So That He Can Graduate).

with a skeptical sigh, heine lets go of killua's arm, but stays close to grab him in case he tries to run again. ]

It's only going to take, like, ten minutes. Just do it.

[ or else. ]

[Killua stumbles forward and turns around, rolling his shoulder as he glares daggers at Heine.]

Fine! Stupid... [Shuffling off he aggressively grabs his supplies and starts doing a half-assed cleaning job. Three minutes later he's throwing his stuff down and trying to make it for the door.] There, I did it.
