i'm always right but what's your perception?
[ detention in the bio classroom isn't as bad as it could be. at least there's stuff to look at. heine's gaze trails over the dusty blackboard, the sun coming in through the window, and the old raccoon specimen in a glass case on a high shelf. the sun isn't actually that appealing; he burns too easy to enjoy it.
so: staying inside and cleaning the classroom as punishment is an all right option, all things considered. heine picks up a rag with two fingers from the countertop to hold it under the tap, ready to get started and do a just-barely adequate job so that the teacher won't get on his ass.
there's supposed to be someone else coming in. he glances toward the doorway, checking to see if they've arrived yet. if they're unwelcome company, he can either intimidate them into cleaning by themselves or, worst case scenario, kick them out and just do it alone. ]

[Killua narrows his eyes as he's dragged into a strange building, and he's beginning to wonder if he hadn't just jumped out of one frying pan and into another.]

meanwhile, he doesn't explain anything to killua, even as he shuts the door behind them. the apartment doesn't really suit him, after all. it's neat, clean, and decorated with little trinkets and artwork hung on the walls. the other pairs of shoes in the entryway are obviously too small to be his, as well. ]
Let me see your shoulder. [ he's already urging killua toward the couch with the way he's standing. if it's just sprained, then good, but if it's anything more serious, they might need to go to a hospital. ]
no subject
It popped.
no subject
[ he's had experience with that, at least. heine crouches down a little, bracing an arm on the couch arm so he doesn't get entirely into killua's personal space. ]
Can you take your shirt off?
no subject
Because that would require moving his arm. So he looks back up, expression and voice flat.] Did you do that on purpose?
no subject
[ it's more reason for heine to think it's dislocated, and he doesn't want to intervene unless he has to. since just rolling up the sleeve won't let him see killua's back, he starts reaching for the hem of his shirt, warning, ] Keep your arm still.
[ he doesn't make any explanation or excuse for his actions. truly the worst bedside manner. ]
no subject
Killua sucks in a breath and braces himself.]
no subject
he should probably warn him beforehand, but heine is already setting the heel of his palm on killua's shoulder and his other hand on his arm. it's going to hurt like hell, and heine's only words are: ] Don't move.
no subject
Ah...hah. [There's a brief window of relief once Heine is done, but then that hand is braced against Killua's shoulder and his body becomes rigid again.] Wait--do you even know what you're doing?!
no subject
I've done this before. [ technically not a yes. ] It's still going to hurt for a while, but it's better than letting it stay out of its socket.
no subject
Yeah, I guess. Just get it over with.
no subject
Or scream.
[ without further ado, heine applies force to the limb, hard enough to get it back into its socket. it's a partial dislocation, but still likely painful enough to cause most people to pass out. heine inspects the joint again; it's already bruising, but it's back where it should be. ]
no subject
...Ow.
no subject
Are you old enough to take aspirin?
no subject
I'm not that young, moron.
no subject
[ despite how flat his tone is, he's joking. heine slips off again to find aspirin in nill's medicine cabinet and returns with a tablet he hands over. ]
no subject
[Killua swipes the tablet once Heine comes over, gulping it down dry with a small cough.] Ugh... This sucks.
no subject
I don't have anything to make a sling, but you can probably get one at CVS. Don't use that arm for a while.
no subject
[Bracing a hand against his shoulder, Killua slowly rolls it as he grits his teeth. He'll just have to get used to it...]
no subject
[ seriously though: ] You'll fuck it up worse if you move it.
no subject
The kind you can't leave.
no subject
[ as if it's easy. it wasn't, for him, but here he is anyway. ]
Stay with a friend for a while.
no subject
[Killua didn't have any friends, plain and simple. He was supposed to go to school and come back home. He was already pushing it by being out as long as he was right now.]
You don't have a weird obsessive brother to track you down.
no subject
[ heine rubs the pad of his thumb against the corner of his mouth and takes a seat on the arm of the couch. ]
She hasn't since I broke his leg, though.
no subject
Yeah, well... I can't try something like that on him. I mean, I stabbed my other older brother once, but he was totally asking for it.
