i'm always right but what's your perception?

[ detention in the bio classroom isn't as bad as it could be. at least there's stuff to look at. heine's gaze trails over the dusty blackboard, the sun coming in through the window, and the old raccoon specimen in a glass case on a high shelf. the sun isn't actually that appealing; he burns too easy to enjoy it.

so: staying inside and cleaning the classroom as punishment is an all right option, all things considered. heine picks up a rag with two fingers from the countertop to hold it under the tap, ready to get started and do a just-barely adequate job so that the teacher won't get on his ass.

there's supposed to be someone else coming in. he glances toward the doorway, checking to see if they've arrived yet. if they're unwelcome company, he can either intimidate them into cleaning by themselves or, worst case scenario, kick them out and just do it alone. ]

Why would I? I don't even have a phone. My family says it "builds character." [He punctuates with sarcastic air qoutes.]

Well. [ uhh. ] Just yell if there's trouble.

You expect to hear me from the classroom?!

[THIS PLAN IS DUMB.]

[shooteverything]

I'll wait nearby, I don't have finals.

[ THIS PLAN IS DUMB BUT HEINE'S KINDA DUMB SO... ]

...Fine, whatever. I just don't want to repeat a grade.

[If he gets caught he's going to get eviscerated.]

[shooteverything]

Then study for your finals.

[killectric]

I don't need to study, I have an A in everything.

[He lifts his hands in a shrug.]

[shooteverything]

All right, just don't fail it then.

[ somehow heine trusts that!

some time later, heine comes back to his apartment and starts looking for killua. not very energetically, but he does look! ]

[killectric]

[He will find Killua...being a couch potato and watching cartoons while eating straight out of a tub of icecream.]

[shooteverything]

You're gonna get fat.

[ oh well. heine takes a seat on the arm of the couch and swings his feet up. ]

I have an idea for you.

[killectric]

Shut up.

[He stuffs another spoonful in his mouth, icecream on his scowling face.]

Just come out with it.

[shooteverything]

You need to be less of a pushover. We're going to the gym.

[ HEINE...... ]

[killectric]

Hey, watch who you're calling a pushover! I can beat up any kid in my grade.

[Just not much older than him. His brother's more than twice his age, okay.

Killua turns his nose up.] Anyway, I'm busy. My show's not over and I still have all this icecream left.

[shooteverything]

Do not puke on my couch. Or... anywhere.

[ heine waits for a few more seconds, distracted by the tv, then kicks out a foot at killua's thigh to jostle the ice cream container. ]

I had to step in and save your ass last time.

[killectric]

Why would I pu--hey! [Killua almost drops the container, catching it at the last second before it falls.

He glowers, stuffing another spoonful into his mouth.] Even if I train, I'm not going to be able to take on my brothers.

[shooteverything]

You probably can if you get a knife or something. And at least you'd be able to make them back off.

[killectric]

Yeah, okay. [He has a point, unfortunately.] Just let me finish this and then we can go.

[shooteverything]

Hurry up.

[ good thing (???) heine doesn't want to eat, so killua gets to finish his ice cream in peace. once he's done, though, heine's already walking around getting some things together and changed into gym clothes. ]

[killectric]

[Once Killua's done he tosses the tub into the garbage and sits on the armrest, waiting for Heine where he is. He's already dressed in loose clothes, when they get to the gym he'll just take off his extra shirt.]

Where's this gym anyway?

[shooteverything]

[ EXTRA SHIRT... killua please. ]

Not far. Gotta take the bus, though.

[killectric]

[He has at least two on!! Possibly three.]

Okay, well you're paying for my bus fare. [He hops to his feet and heads towards the door, pushing on some flipflops on the way.]

[shooteverything]

Yeah, yeah.

[ heine gets them to the bus station and takes a seat in the back, ankles crossed and hands in his pockets. they get there quickly enough, and heine goes in through a back door to a room with padded mats on the floor. ]

[killectric]

[Killua behaves on the bus ride...mostly.

But hey! They're at the gym now, and Killua's happy to kick his shoes off and take off his shirt, leaving nothing but the undershirt beneath. He tosses them on a bench and flexes his arms, looking curiously over at Heine.]

So what're we doing? There's not even any equipment in here.

[shooteverything]

I'm going to try and beat you up and you're going to try and handle it.

[ Y E P. heine stretches first, though. ]

Oh. [He doesn't even know what to say to that. It's so blunt.]

Shouldn't we practice first?
