[ Nill introduced him to the agency, promising him that it wouldn't be a bad experience to just go in and talk to the guy. Apparently he trains some of the dogs himself, which is why there are so few to choose from, but even if it didn't work out on his first visit he'd help him in the long run. With Nill's experience in the field, Heine trusts her word.
That doesn't mean he isn't stressed about it. After years of coping with his problems by himself, asking for help or admitting he needs it at all throws of the precarious routine he maintains most days.
The appointment he makes is later in the morning to avoid crowds on their way to work. When he arrives he's not sure where to go and ends up waiting in the reception area, standing by an empty desk with his hands in his pockets. ]

[He would be in good company at least, if going by what the other dogs were doing was the way to judge. He'd give it a few more minutes before nodding, starting to head back towards Heine's house.]
That's enough for today. Did you have anything else planned?
no subject
No.
[ And it's only early afternoon! But Heine is ready to go back, following Eames' lead to go back to his house and refuel. ]
no subject
Good, I'm starving. Do you want company for lunch?
no subject
Are you going to follow me even if I say no?
[ Heine gives him a small smirk as he starts walking with Cerberus out of the park and to a retail area he sometimes likes to get food. ]
Because I may be blind, but I'd notice.
no subject
Of course I wouldn't. I know if you lose one sense, the others pick up the slack.
[He paused, frowning slightly.]
Or is Hollywood lying to me about that as well?
no subject
[ Since he works for other sight-impaired people already. But Heine helps him out, though he does also suspect Eames is sort of messing with him. ]
Depends on the person, but yeah. Some people can use echoes like bats.
no subject
[Eames said easily enough, keeping an eye on Cerberus' behavior as they made their way back to Heine's house. He seemed to be happier as they left the distractions of the park.]
So are you one of them?
no subject
[ Heine holds the lead carefully, following his own memory back and Cerberus' as well. ]
What, do you have any weird talents?
no subject
At the question, he turned his attention back to Heine, laughing.]
Loads of useless ones. Card tricks, being able to karaoke without shame, copying people's handwriting.
no subject
Handwriting? How about signatures?
no subject
[He paused, glancing over at Heine with a grin.]
But I only use my skills for good, I assure you.

He and Eames started going out for dinner together outside of Cerberus' training. More than once, in fact, and the mild jokes Eames made about getting past his defenses aren't unfounded anymore.
They're something, but nothing Heine has to think about for too long. He can do what he wants, he's an adult, and he doesn't have to make any excuses or explanations about why he's inviting Eames into his bedroom. ]
You can sit.
[ He's taken off his glasses and set them aside, freeing his hands to... do nothing, for now, just to listen to Eames. ]
no subject
Saying he was surprised at how this song and dance had gone would be a discredit to both of them, so instead he shrugged off his jacket and draped it over a nearby chair as he watched Heine take off his glasses. Obediently, he took a seat, resting his hands loosely against the inside of his thighs, just taking Heine in.]
You can come closer. I only bite if you've been particularly bad.
no subject
Sounds like you need some training yourself.
no subject
[Eames teased, reaching out for Heine as soon as he was close enough, pressing kisses along the column of his neck. He wasn't in any rush, and other than looping his fingers through Heine's belt loops, made no other moves to undress or touch him.]
no subject
[ So, how weird would that really be? Heine's hips tip forward an inch from the fingers in the loops, head tilting to the side as if he's considering Eames.
Well—he is. Just not with his eyes. ]
You can take your own clothes off.
no subject
[Eames joked, but he was quick enough to comply, taking off his shirt and shrugging out of his pants and socks quickly enough. Unlike his jacket, he was fine with leaving them on a heap in the floor, striping out of his underwear last, before starting to work on Heine's clothes.]
Do you need help?
no subject
You don't have to. [ But he lets him do it anyway, half-smiling as he adds, ] I wouldn't see how the collar looks on you anyway, so it'd only matter if I could pull you around.
[ He moves onto his pants next, wiggling out of them. It's Eames who's really seeing him for the first time now that they're undressed. Heine's turn comes after. ]
Get on the bed. [ Raising his hand, he jabs Eames in the center of his chest. ]
no subject
[His bemusement only lasted up until Heine stripped down, and he took him in, admiring the view until Heine prodded at him. Chuckling slightly, he did as he was told, sprawling out onto the bed, knuckling his hands against the headboard so Heine might have a better idea of where he was.]
Bossy aren't you? Are you going to fuck me or just give me orders?
no subject
[ Eames can't know. And—to be honest, Heine doesn't know either. He's never tried anything like that. People see the cane and they think he's delicate or something. ]
I might fuck you. If you follow the orders.
[ Once he reaches the bed, Heine gets onto it on his knees, following the sound of Eames' hands and the form of his body with his fingertips as he settles to straddle his middle. Up near his face, Heine leans down, using both hands to frame Eames' jaw until he's oriented himself for a short, soft kiss on his mouth. ]
no subject
He kissed him back for a bit, running his hands leisurely along Heine's back. Between kisses, he murmured:]
What are your orders then?
no subject
[ Heine lets him have one more kiss before he sits back up, to make some room. He uses his hands and his mouth, not bothered by doing so, and only letting himself enjoy it. ]
You're harder than I thought you'd be.
no subject
He couldn't help but laugh at Heine's observation, trying to lie as still as possible to not interfere with how he was mapping out his body.]
What were you expecting?
no subject
[ Heine spreads his fingers out, spanning his ribcage, touching the indentations between muscle before digging his nails in lightly. ]
I didn't think dogwalking would be much exercise.
no subject
[Eames asked, mock horrified, but he let out a small chuckle regardless, shuddering slightly as Heine's nails raked over his ribs. It felt like a tease despite the fact Eames knew it wasn't, keeping his eyes on Heine's face.]
I'll have you know that I do a lot more than dog walking.
