Were you offered refreshments, Mr. Noiz?
[ his stay here is purely business, but there is an unmistakable aura of tension in the air when she enters. the offer is not only small talk, but an attempt, as well, to loosen that tension, at least on her end. they might have done business together before, but he's never seen her, just like she's never seen him, so both their appearances would be a surprise to the other. she'd expected someone older, with dull, drab clothing that possibly needs wash, and a face that's forgettable. likewise, he probably expected a man. ]

it's more her apparent age and stature that surprises him, but his expression stays so flat that it doesn't look like he cares. ]
Noiz.
[ not mister. he doesn't like it. silently, he extends a hand for the folder, assuming it holds whatever information he needs to erase. he doesn't have much interest in food. ]

I'd prefer to read the names out to you myself, Noiz. [ apart from the little ceremony they'd had two days ago for the five men and women who'd served the family well, this tiny gesture (of reading names out to recognize them one last time before wiping their existence away for good) is all that she can offer now.
that said, she takes a seat opposite him, with only a low coffee table and his laptop between them. ]
I don't know how long this process is going to take, but if you need anything, don't hesitate to let them know.
[ who "they" are, however, she doesn't specify. seemingly, there is no one else in the room but the two of them, but if noiz were to pay attention to the shadows under the crack of the door she'd come from, he might notice two of them shifting every now and then. alert. ]

Fine.
[ at her offer, he just nods without saying anything. he tries to get through most of his jobs as quickly as possible, and this one is so far no different. he puts one cube down, turning it on by pressing an invisible button. a screen pops up, projected by his toy-like allmate.
it takes him a minute or two to pull up the database, during which he works in silence. he types incredibly quickly, staring at the green text wordlessly. it isn't even that he's being quiet out of respect, he simply doesn't care. ]
