[ tsukishima checks the price—not cheap, but still affordable at $40. ]

Let's get it. I want to have it set up before dinnertime.

[That was way cheaper than what Bokuto expected actually.]

I thought it would be more expensive... wait, where's the sales person? How do we actually get the door home? We came here by the bus.

[Mental note- start collecting money for a cheap car because this is torture.]

[midblock]

...we might just have to carry it.

[ by which he means: bokuto will have to carry it, because he's just so fragile. tsukishima claps a hand on his shoulder. ]

It'll be good weight training.

[horned_owl]

What!?

[He can't be serious!]

I mean, I don't mind carrying it, [he looked more stupid in some other situations,] But I don't think they'll let us on the bus with the door.

[midblock]

[ sigh. ]

Probably not, huh...

[ he frowns at the door. ]

What about calling a ride service?

[horned_owl]

Sure but...

[Bokuto didn't want them to spend more money on this, he feels guilty, but they live too far away for him to carry it on his back.]

... but doesn't this mall have their delivery service? I mean, they always seem to deliver big stuff like this.

[midblock]

[ that's true. tsukishima takes a moment before replying, half because he is thinking about it and half because bokuto thinking things through fully with reason is a little surprising.

(even tsukishima knows that's a mean thought, but bokuto-san is used to it, isn't he.) ]

Go ask at the desk. I'm going to look and see if they have any better replacement doors.

[ giving instructions to his senpai, oops. ]

[Bokuto's whole attention is on the problem they have. And they have the problem because of him, so he's determined to fix it and not annoy Tsukishima even more in the process.]

Right! I'll be right back!

[He jogs off towards the desk to ask about the delivery. He's back after few minutes, carrying a "Welcome Home" hanging sign, owl shaped. Yeah, he can't resist.]

They said they do it, but that they will deliver it tomorrow because they are all booked today. [He holds up the sign-] Look what I found! Isn't it cute?

[midblock]

[ tsukishima manages to find another door that's almost identical, but slightly lighter in color and a bit cheaper. It'll be bokuto's purchase, but tsukishima doesn't want to make it worse since he thinks he's learned his lesson by now.

...but he hasn't learned about the owl thing, it seems. tsukishima looks at the sign and just sighs. ]

Give them this number to deliver. And put that back.

[ it is a little cute, though tsukishima wouldn't admit it. ]

[horned_owl]

[He will never learn about owl thing. Owl is his spirit animal, he can't fight it.]

Hey, hey, we can find crow one if you're jealous, [Bokuto grins and pokes Tsukishima's shoulder. He sighs and looks at the door welcome,] I guess I'll buy it next time.

[When he doesn't have to buy a fucking door. He returns to the salesman and gives him the number of the door they want, goes to cashier to pay and then returns to Tsukishima.]

All done. They'll come tomorrow to deliver it.

[midblock]

I don't really want a crow one either...

[ but as bokuto has put it back, tsukishima lets it go. he waits for bokuto to place the order before they set out. ]

Let's head home.

[horned_owl]

Home, home... [Bokuto says in sing song voice. He's back in his happy mood. The door will be replaced and they will have dinner now. Everything's good.

!!]

Hey! What do you say we go surprise visit Kuroo?! He should be playing at his uni right now! We have time to kill. [Also vollies! Maybe he'll be able to sneak in and slam a few against his all-time rival.]

[midblock]

What about dinner?

[ tsukishima wouldn't mind going to meet kuroo, but he's a bit tired, really, and bokuto only gets louder when in contact with the other senpai. ]

[horned_owl]

Oh? You're hungry? Yeah, let's go home then, that's more important.

[It's more important because Tsukishima doesn't expresses need for food very often. So when he does, it meas he's actually really hungry.

Or maybe he just wants the cake.]

[midblock]

We can hang out with him next weekend, as long as you don't break our new door.

[ hopefully. tsukishima nods as they get back on the bus.

...to be honest, he's pretty excited about that cake. ]

I promise, no more breaking the door! If I try, you are allowed to knock me out.

[Breaking stuff around the apartment deserves a good knock out. They aren't rich to replace stuff every time they break something.

...cake is always a good reason to go home.]

[midblock]

That's assuming I'd be able to knock you out, Bokuto-san.

[ on the bus, on their way back, tsukishima allows himself to relax enough to lean back in his seat and close his eyes for a few minutes. ]

Kuroo said it's easier to knock out a drunk person than sober.

[He wants to suggest to lock him up in the bathroom, but then he might break bathroom door. Bokuto turns silent when Tsukishima closes his eyes- maybe he wanted to nap or something. So Bokuto decided not to bug him.]

[midblock]

[ tsukishima hums and doesn't reply. he worries about bokuto passing out sometimes, to be honest. he stays quiet while the bus brings them home. by the time they're there tsukishima is starting to get a little weirded out by how quiet bokuto has been.

he'll cook him dinner. or at least heat up his leftovers for him. ]

[To be completely honest, Bokuto was spacing out. His brain was making a mental list of things he wants to do. Although, the list isn't too long. It's mostly volleyball with Kuroo (and Tsukishima if he manages to convince him) and how to explain to the landlord the door incident. He will surely notice bright new, shiny door.]

What do you wanna do when we come home?

[Tsukishima shouldn't think of how Bokuto isn't talking because he always jinxes it.]

[midblock]

I thought we were just having dinner.

[ tsukishima is almost surprised when bokuto talks, but he probably shouldn't have been. ]

...and cake.

[ can't forget that part. ]

Yeah, but after that? We're not going to go to bed at 9pm, are we?

[Tsukishima shouldn't be surprised by anything Bokuto does at this point.]

Like, watch a movie for example. Or play video games!

[They decided not to go to the game so the evening feels a bit too empty for him. Stuff needs to happen! He's not 'a chill night with book' type of guy.]

What movie were you thinking?

[ a movie sounds... less stressful than video games. video games with bokuto tends to lead to screaming and fighting. ]

[Tsukishima should be honest with himself and admit that competitiveness gets to him as well when they play games.

But movies sounds great!]

Hmm... what about Conjuring 2? I heard it's great!

Isn't that a scary movie?

[ tsukishima doesn't mind scary movies. does he want to watch it tonight, though? despite his best efforts, he sometimes gets too spooked from watching them, which is embarrassing, so he tries not to watch them too often. ]
