[ detention in the bio classroom isn't as bad as it could be. at least there's stuff to look at. heine's gaze trails over the dusty blackboard, the sun coming in through the window, and the old raccoon specimen in a glass case on a high shelf. the sun isn't actually that appealing; he burns too easy to enjoy it.

so: staying inside and cleaning the classroom as punishment is an all right option, all things considered. heine picks up a rag with two fingers from the countertop to hold it under the tap, ready to get started and do a just-barely adequate job so that the teacher won't get on his ass.

there's supposed to be someone else coming in. he glances toward the doorway, checking to see if they've arrived yet. if they're unwelcome company, he can either intimidate them into cleaning by themselves or, worst case scenario, kick them out and just do it alone. ]

Yeah. There's the rest of this week and the next week, school ends on Friday.

[ Heine finishes his bite before he talks again. ]

How many brothers do you have?

[Killua lets out a long sigh. Just two more weeks...but he was going to fail the school year if he didn't find a way to make it to exams. Maybe his brothers would give up looking at school by then?]

Three. And one sister.

So are they all looking for you?

Just Milluki and Illumi, I think, and mostly just Illumi. He's the one I saw at the mall. He's always been overbearing...

So if he's busy you could get to school and get your tests done, right?

[ heine's done with his own exams, being a senior, so he's more or less writing school off until fall comes around again. ]

Yeah, pretty much. [Killua arches a brow.] Don't tell me you have an idea.

No. I don't know anything about your brother...s.

[ a shrug, and he eats more bacon. ]

You got any ideas?

They could get into an accident.

Nothing serious! You know, just enough to delay them for a day.

Yeah, like a fender bender! Just something to tie them up.

[Killua's smiling, because this is obviously a Great Idea.]

Eh, if we're going to do that, we might as well just go all the way and slash 'em.

No way. That's why you're going to do it! [Happily matter-of-fact.]

I'm 18, I'll be charged as an adult.

[ just as matter-of-fact, but less happily. ]

Ehh? For real? Then who's going to do it?

[Because it's not him.]

Maybe there's another way.

[ shrugs. ] You might be able to get into the school from a back entrance or a window and they won't spot you. And they can't interrupt during a test.

What if they're waiting outside the door when the test is over though, huh? It's way too risky!

Then go out through the window, or something.

Tch, fine. But if they show up, you better be ready with a getaway car.

Why would I? I don't even have a phone. My family says it "builds character." [He punctuates with sarcastic air qoutes.]
