It's a matter of the contract, which you should have read when you signed it and moved in.

[ tsukishima sighs. ]

[Bokuto grumbles and shoves hands in the pockets of his jeans. Yes, he's read the contract but didn't really remember it. He summed it up in one "don't set house on fire" sentence so he thought he was fine as long as nothing's burning.]

Yeah.. You're right. As always. [More pouting and heavy huffing as they walk towards bus station-] Can't wait to have my own place. It will have a Jacuzzi and big crystal thing with water lights in it and big couches and owl designs EVERYWHERE!

BUT ALSO A BROKEN DOOR

[midblock]

Great. Then I won't have to live with you.

[ "big crystal thing with water lights"? at least the owl designs sound accurate. tsukishima leads the way down to the bus stop, knowing that bokuto will follow eventually. ]

yes well... there ARE minor inconveniences xD

[Bokuto was never good at explaining things. He was thinking about water walls he once saw and wants them in his house ever since.]

What? You won't? [He sounds really sad.] But- but-! You have to! [He runs forward and turns to walk backwards so he can face Tsukishima-] I can't do life without you!

[midblock]

[ at least the running means he'll get to the bus stop more quickly. ]

I can't live in a house filled with owl decorations.

[ not even arguing the "i can't do life without you"... the hole in the door is enough proof. ]

[horned_owl]

Well! We can add crow decorations. Or! Maybe you want some dino sculptures?

[Maybe a fossil or two? He's all up for it, he think's it's cool and he'd put it in big, glass case for all to marvel at.]

This all sounds terrible.

[ to tsukishima, at least. he's envisioning giant dinosaur sculptures in his head along with owl decals, and it clashes awfully even in his imagination. ]

And tacky. Like you, Bokuto-san.

I'm just saying! I am willing to cooperate and discuss about things! I just want you to live with me still, you know.

[He kind of... got really used to making coffee for Tsukishima in the morning and then sitting together at the kitchen counter, booing the weatherman.]

So you'll have someone to pick up after you?

[ though bokuto isn't actually as messy as his behavior had lead tsukishima to believe before they'd started cohabitating, he can still poke fun at him. ]

[horned_owl]

No! I'm not that messy... am I?

[He actually sounds worried now. He knows there's a stray sock here and there and maybe a shirt, but he keeps sink clean! And there's no hair dye mess in bathroom!]

[midblock]

You leave things all over the apartment.

[ tsukishima kicks back on the bench at the bus stop, crossing his legs at the ankles. ]

[horned_owl]

A shirt or two, from time to time! That's not TOO bad! You leave your jackets on the floor when you come back tired.

[He caught you Tsukki don't even try to lie about it. Bokuto leans on bench's backrest and sighs.]

Besides, I really like you being my roommate. It's fun with you.

[midblock]

I pick them up.

[ but bokuto's right, he leaves his clothes around the apartment too. he lets the topic go for now. ]

Well, talk to me if you ever actually want to move out.

[horned_owl]

Of course I will! [If he could, he'd take Tsukishima everywhere with him. He just likes being around him, okay?

The bus stops and Bokuto jumps-] Ohh! Bus is here!

[midblock]

[ tsukishima doesn't think he should feel a jump in his pulse rate like that, but he does. before he can react to it properly, however, they're getting on the bus. he finds them a pair of seats towards the back facing the middle of the aisle so that their legs won't be cramped behind another row of seats as they ride to the hardware store. ]

[horned_owl]

[Bokuto feels more relaxed knowing that Tsukishima will most likely live with him once this college bullshit is done. He will make sure to be the best roommate in Tokyo! He drops next to Tsukishima, stretching out his legs as well.]

By the way, are we getting dinner? We have the dessert. [Will the door force them to have ramen for dinner?]

[midblock]

We have food in the fridge, don't we?

[ tsukishima knows for a fact that they have some, at least, and rice to cook. he's more interested in the dessert, to be honest. ]

[horned_owl]

We do? Huh... I was so focused on buying the cake I forgot to think if we need anything else.

[He can't really remember. There's ramen, he knows that for sure. Maybe there's some piece of meat. He can hope. And of course, the cake. Well, he'll manage.]

[midblock]

We can't all live on sweets alone.

[ there's a smile on his face, even though it might not be the nicest of expressions. ]

[horned_owl]

Hmmm you can tho. And I still can't understand how!

[Because meat! And barbecue! You can't just ignore that! And yes, he is staring at Tsukishima's face a bit. He likes all the smiles, sue him.]

[midblock]

It's because I eat normal amounts.

[ tsukishima looks back at bokuto, used to the staring by now. ]

[horned_owl]

[Bokuto smiles widely at him-]

Hmmmm I don't knooow. I saw you marathon some documentaries and eat few pieces of cake once.

[midblock]

Key word: a few. You finished that whole ice cream cake once.

[ tsukishima remembers this with slight disgust. ]

[horned_owl]

Yes. But I was hungover and craving something sweet. I have no clue why.

[He felt like a pregnant woman at one point.]

You can eat this one all by yourself.

[midblock]

I might, but I'm not going to do it in one sitting. Unlike a certain glutton I know.

[ the bus comes to a stop in front of the home depot. tsukishima hustles them off and inside before bokuto can distract him, and focuses on getting them to the department in the store where they can find a replacement door. ]
